is chair of the music department at Laney College (Oakland, CA) and on the faculty of the John Adams Young Composers Program and the Crowden Music School (Berkeley, CA). He has presented talks about exploring Music History at the Berkeley Public Library and on KPFA Radio. A former professional member of the San Francisco Symphony Chorus, he performed the role of Remandado in Bizet’s Carmen, was tenor soloist for the premier of Anthony Korf’s Requiem, and participated in Grammy winning recordings on Decca, RCA, and Paramount Pictures. Sacred music positions have included: music director of All Souls Episcopal Church (Berkeley), music director of St. Gabriel Church (San Francisco), music director Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (Belmont, CA), and tenor soloist for St. Mary’s Cathedral (San Francisco) and Congregation Rodef Beth Shalom (San Rafael).
